I had the chance to take on a custom order yesterd

I had the chance to take on a custom order yesterday, wanting it complete before Christmas. 🎄 I really wrestled with myself after saying “No.” I could probably get it done... and the extra money for my business would be great...

Ultimately, I decided that it would be too much stress. My family and I both deserved the time off.
.
I’ve never been SO sure that I made the right choice. There has been a few special moments with Miss. E that I would have missed out on otherwise! 🥰
.
She’s been asking for extra cuddles at night and wanting me to rock her to sleep. I’ve truly enjoyed that quality time together! ♥️🤱 If I had work looming - that might have felt like an inconvenience. I would have been anxious waiting for her to fall asleep thinking about the work I needed to get done and not really enjoying the moment.

AND - THE MOST AMZING THING HAPPENED TODAY!
Evelynn said “Mama”! 😭😭😭
After almost a year of her being completely non-verbal, it is the most amazing gift! I cried tears of joy hearing her sweet voice.
.
My point of this long story - as makers/small business owners, we work our asses off all year. Don’t feel bad because someone waited until the the last minute to get their shopping done. That’s on them. You deserve the quality time with your loved ones too!🙌🎄
