Tulip Stitch Wash Cloth – Free Crochet Pattern

It’s been a long winter. According to the calendar it’s spring, but spring is nowhere in site around here. And with the whole world either in self isolation, quarantine lock down, or practicing social distancing, I thought we could all use a colorful pick-me-up!

As an aspiring gardener, it brings me great joy to see the first signs of spring… Tulips! Such a wonderful burst of color after the drab, dead winter. 1. Love this – I always make my mom holiday dishcloths and potholders!
Could you please explain row 6 a bit more? I’m not sure what ch1 spaces you are referring to?
    Thank you!

    1. Thank you! Absolutely! So in row 5 you are making bobbles and CH2. In row 6 you will SC in each stitch including the chains. The first chain looks almost like a stitch and its easy to insert your hook into, the second chain just look like a chain – you will SC around that. You want to have 26SC at the end of your row. Hope this helps!

      1. Thank you! This is what I ended up doing- I did all SC and no DC tho. I love how quick it works up! I’m pondering how to make it thicker for a potholder too.

      2. For a pot holder, you could make 2, then SC them together. Put SC, CH1, SC in each corner as you SC together.
